These arched ceilings are typical of the structures in the colonial mansions in and around Arequipa and its churches. The Casona Ugarte possesses approximately ten original ceilings with this architectural design. One of the ached ceilings was removed for security purposes, but all of the original pieces have been numbered specifically and stored in the second patio.
